Melaine's Bio

With a career spanning over two decades, Melaine began early as a college sophomore working as an Executive Assistant to the President of a Real Estate firm and the Assistant Corporate Housing Director.

Through her tenure she is recognized for her wide-ranging industry expertise, which spans onsite and offsite sales and rentals, closing and negotiation, short-term rentals, asset and property management, and multimillion-dollar rent roll evaluation. Melaine has demonstrated her service-oriented commitment by providing effectual support to Fortune 500 companies in planning their employees' relocation into temporary and long-term housing.

Melaine was acknowledged for renting more than 200 condominiums, including 25 sales in one year at The Executive Plaza Condominiums. Capitalizing on her industry expertise, Melaine played an instrumental role in attaining 45 percent closing rate for agents in leading on-site sales and leasing staff for the sales and rentals of apartments in both the company's Midtown and Battery Park City locations. Due to her substantial contribution to the company's growth, Melaine received the highest-producing agent in 2002 with more than $12 million in gross sales.

Melaine's most recent role as the Leasing Director at Lefrak Organization-Gateway Plaza Management; involved her overseeing the on-site leasing staff for a 1712 unit complex - Gateway Plaza, the largest rental building in Battery Park City and the Financial District. She played an instrumental role in boosting company revenue by maintaining less than 2 percent vacancy for the 1712 unit complex in eight years and 1% vacancy in 2015. As evidence of her real estate expertise and commitment to her clients, in addition to being the Leasing Director, Melaine also had the highest closing ratio of all agents and has rented over 1200 apartments at Gateway Plaza. This experience has added further testimony to her strength as a leader who drives growth.
